Repair Work

First let me say I am not a saddlemaker and that I have not even messed around with saddles in almost 3 decades. But I can perform tack repair if you are in a bind. This includes certain parts for your saddle. Other parts we can order. I am likely to suggest you send it out to a saddlemaker if it looks beyond my abilities. I will not even entertain working on it if it appears that the tree is broken. $35 an hour for tack repair with a minimum of 1 hour plus materials.

I am comfortable making working harness and tack repairs. There will likely be a waiting period for me to order in the correct leather and you will be billed partial shipping costs. If I have a suitable leather in stock, you will only be billed at my hourly rate plus materials. I will not repair harness or tack with heavy cracking or dryrot. If you would like it replaced with new leather you will be billed time and materials.

I am slowly trying to build up inventory. I have a good source to get Herman Oak leathers, and I am proud to use their products for most of our products. I have a source for Wicket and Craig leathers if you prefer their leather.

For tool belts and carpenters bags, I am able to make repairs if you have a pouch, bag or belt that is repairable. $35 an hour, with a 1 hour minimum.

An exception to the schedule of costs is snap replacement. If it is simple and requires just a few minutes, I am willing to just take care of it, but a little something towards the hardware is always welcome.

My own leather products will be repaired for free unless they are worn out from abusive use and/or have not been properly cared for.
